The defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers upgraded their pitching staff on Sunday by agreeing to a 4-year, $72 million deal with free agent lefty reliever and Howland native and alum Tanner Scott.

Tanner Scott, the top reliever on the MLB free-agent market, got paid like it. The former San Diego Padres southpaw has agreed to a four-year, $72 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers, according to multiple reports.

The Dodgers add another free agent, this time agreeing to terms with left-hander Tanner Scott, the best available reliever left on the market.
