John McEnroe thinks the young tennis players are frustrating Novak Djokovic during matches and his coach Andy Murray too gets nervous. McEnroe’s statement came after Djokovic fended off qualifier Jaime Faria on Wednesday (January 15) in the second round of the Australian Open.

After dropping his opening set at the Australian Open to Nishesh Basavareddy, Noavk Djokovic eventually asserted himself for a victory to begin his bid for an 11th championship at Melbourne Park and a record 25th major title overall.

Djokovic and Murray faced each other in four Australian Open finals but the retired Scot has joined the 37-year-old’s’ team as he bids to win a record 25th grand slam title this month. Murray was positioned in the new ‘coaching pods’ on the Rod Laver Arena,

"Andy Murray over there on the sideline, I think was starting to get a little nervous with what was going on."

John McEnroe feels even Andy Murray was getting nervous for Novak Djokovic during his second-round match at the Australian Open after Jaime Faria took the second set. The 24-time Grand Slam champion has made a habit of being a slow starter at major tournaments in recent years.

Andy Murray has reiterated his belief that Novak Djokovic is the greatest tennis player of all time ahead of the Serb's Australian Open campaign.

The 2003 US Open champion also argued Djokovic hiring Murray “makes sense in so many ways” because he thinks there are few people who the Serb “respects enough to actually consider their opinions.
