Crews with Cal Fire are conducting pile burn operations Monday and Tuesday within Soquel Demonstration State Forest and smoke may be visible in surrounding areas.

Molten sulfur can burn skin and eyes on contact, and its vapors can irritate airways. Once cooled, the product becomes a flammable solid, making the cleanup even more delicate.
