A system will bring another round of snow and sleet to the New York City area Saturday night. Winter storm watches will be in effect for parts of the Tri-State Area from 7 p.m. Saturday until 10 a.m.

Areas west of I-495 to Pittsfield will see more snow than any other precipitation type. New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine will welcome all snow from this system.

Up to 4 inches of snowfall is now possible in some locations from a winter storm that is now moving from west to east.The heaviest precipitation will be during a three-hour period late Sunday night, Feb.

A winter storm is expected to bring snow to New England overnight, potentially impacting the Wednesday morning commute.

Snow is already beginning in western Massachusetts as of 8 a.m. Thursday, and it will pick up in the eastern part of the state later this morning. The system is expected to turn into freezing rain this afternoon before tapering off in the evening hours,

The storm will likely see a wide variety of wintry participation, including heavy snow, snow showers and sleet. While the National Weather Service (NWS) has not yet issued any official warnings about the storm,

BOSTON - Now that Thursday's snow is over, there's an excellent chance of plowable snow falling this weekend in Boston and most of Massachusetts. It could be the biggest snow storm of the season so far.

Snow is expected in Vermont tomorrow, but the question is how much will end up falling. Meteorologists are also saying that there could be a mixture of ice with the snowfall, which could contribute to hazardous road conditions by the time the storm is winding down on Thursday night.
