Samsung is looking into new wearable devices, potentially including earrings and necklaces, amid an industry-wide push to develop new types of AI-powered consumer electronics.

Samsung's Galaxy Ring 2 is already on the pipeline, but so are other smart jewelry wearables like necklaces, earrings, and more, according to a report.

Google also announced that, starting with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, you’ll be able to long-press the power button and have Gemini take a gander at your screen while you’re scrolling. With live access to what you’re looking at, you can ask Gemini for help on stuff like product comparisons. Per Google:

Samsung has one of the most fleshed-out suites of AI tools on the market, and its decision not to charge users for those AI tools is likely to set a precedent that other companies will follow. Ultimately, in the AI space, as seen with the emergence of premium AI plans, once one company realizes it can charge for a service, others quickly follow.
