The month of January recognizes National Blood Donor Month. The American Red Cross is encouraging individuals to donate in order to enter a chance to win a trip to Super Bowl LIX.

The Red Cross of Utah put out a call for people to donate blood after snowstorms in the Midwest canceled blood drives. As an incentive, one lucky donor will win tickets to this year's Super Bowl.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - January is a month of new beginnings and resolutions, but it’s also a time to give back, as it is National Blood Donor Month. According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds someone in the United States is in need of blood, which is why donating blood is vital.

Donors have until Jan. 26 to give blood at either the organization's blood drives or blood donation centers in Michigan.

Red Cross added that in honor of January being National Blood Donor Month, the NFL is partnering with blood donation organizations for the sixth year and inviting fans to join their lifesaving efforts.

A Tuesday, Dec. 17, ribbon-cutting event heralded the arrival of the Riverside Blood Donation Center at the agency’s renovated Humanitarian Services chapter office in the city.
