Astronomer, the technology company that faced backlash after its CEO was allegedly caught in an affair at a Coldplay concert, said the CEO has resigned, the company announced Saturday.

Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer who was caught in an embrace at a Coldplay concert with the company’s chief people officer Kristin Cabot, has resigned his position. Astronomer, which is a private data infrastructure and operations company, announced the move on social media Saturday, a day after it announced both were on leave.

After a couple went viral for their reaction to being spotted at the Gillette Stadium show in Foxboro, Mass., on Wednesday, July 16, a company spokesperson told PEOPLE on Friday, July 18, that Byron was "placed on leave" and cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy was serving as interim CEO.
