Anthony Davis prefers to remain with the Dallas Mavericks for the rest of the season, according to NBA insider Marc Stein of The Stein Line. The Los Angeles Lakers traded Davis to the Mavericks last season in the blockbuster Luka Dončić trade.

Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is out tonight against the Dallas Mavericks due to a left finger sprain. This absence, coupled with other injuries on both sides, shifts the focus to depth and execution rather than star power.

Recent reports indicate that Anthony Davis' agent, Rich Paul, is actively working to facilitate his departure from the Dallas Mavericks.

The NBA trade deadline is two weeks away, and so far it looks like we may not get a ton of action like we did last year. After 25 trades last year, we've seen only one this time around -- so far.  A lot would have to happen between now and Feb.
