New data shows the breast cancer rate is growing each year in women under 50, with the highest increase in Asian American and Pacific Islander women.

"Our type of breast cancer is hard to find and diagnose. Our lobular breast cancer tumors were growing for years before being detected," write two advocates. Others write, "Women are right to be concerned about their environment.

A new American Cancer Society report reveals that breast cancer rates in women under 50 have risen by 1.4% annually since 2012, double the rate seen in older women. Asian American and Pacific Islander women have experienced the largest increase since 2000.
