Thick wildfire smoke blanketed the Front Range across Denver Tuesday morning. Smoke will gradually clear Tuesday afternoon and evening, but another round is expected overnight.

Coloradans may notice smoky skies Saturday as a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day is in effect due to fire danger. However, the visible smoke is from out of state.

Widespread reports of hazy conditions in Colorado Saturday are likely due to wildfire smoke coming from Utah and Wyoming. Boulder County Sheriff's Office Public Information Office Vinnie Montez said in a video posted to social media that reports of haze and a smoke smell are due to the out-of-state wildfires.

Smoke will filter in from Wyoming and Utah on Sunday and into Monday. Sunday morning the smoke remained light enough that there were no impacts on air quality, but by this afternoon a new wave of smoke is headed toward the Denver metro area,
