Dallas Stars goalie Jake Oettinger spoke Saturday for the first time since being controversially pulled early in the Stars' season-ending loss to the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday.

With the Dallas Stars facing elimination in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final, goaltender Jake Oettinger surrendered two goals on the Edmonton Oilers' first two shots of the contest. As a result, Stars coach Pete DeBoer made the decision to pull Oettinger just 7:09 into the game in favor of backup Casey DeSmith.

The Oilers went on to win the game 6-3 and the best-of-7 series 4-1, advancing to a rematch with the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Final, which starts on Wednesday in Edmonton (8 p.m. ET; CBC, TVAS, SN, TNT, truTV, MAX).
