A state of emergency was declared for Ohio County on Sunday following severe flooding in the area that has so far claimed the lives of three people.

One of the victims of the weekend flood in Wheeling was Travis Creighton, 19, of Triadelphia. Relatives say he and his mother were swept away in their home. With his help, she was able to survive, but Travis did not.
