Panathinaikos and Greece international defender George Baldock was found dead in his swimming pool on Wednesday, Greek news reports said.

Baldock, a former Greece international who also played for Sheffield United for seven seasons, has been found dead in his Athens home, Greek media reported.

Baldock’s wife had reportedly been trying to get in touch with him but received no response before the owner of the residence found him in the pool.
