Ryan Murphy and FX chairman John Landgraf recently discussed the major twist in Grotesquerie Episode 7. The episode reveals that all prior events were part of Lois Tryon’s comatose mind. Murphy explained that this twist was planned from the start.

Expect a "series of reveals" still to come as the Niecy Nash-Betts horror story continues to roll out its final episodes, barreling towards a finale that will set up a second season, say show mastermind Murphy and FX boss John Landgraf.

She finds a few unlikely allies along the way, including Kelce’s Eddie as well as a journalist nun named Sister Megan (Micaela Diamond).
