Saints quarterback Derek Carr has been to New Orleans twice in recent weeks to meet with the club doctor at the team facility and his preference is to avoid shoulder surgery, NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported Tuesday.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Carr tried an injection and rehab but it wouldn't allow him to possibly return to 100 percent unless he underwent surgery. The team also announced that the veteran passer had a labral tear and "significant degenerative changes" to his rotator cuff, which were discovered in March.
