The jury foreman in the Karen Read trial spoke publicly for the first time Tuesday on "TODAY" in his first broadcast interview.

“At first, some had their own personal opinions on what the case should be ... and was trying to go down personal feelings and stuff like that,” said juror 1, who was featured in a TODAY show interview that aired June 24. The juror spoke on camera to the news anchors, but did not publicly share his name.

Paula Prado, who was juror No. 11 in the trial, said to Patriot Ledger media partner WCVB Channel 5 that she thought Read was guilty of manslaughter at first. As the trial went on, she said that there were too many gaps in the prosecution's case to definitively prove Read's guilt.
