Air traffic at Brussels Airport was temporarily suspended late Tuesday as a safety precaution following a drone sighting, according to Belgian media.
Belgium's defense minister said that more counter-uncrewed aerial systems "are urgently needed" after three drones spied on the Kleine-Brogel base.
Airspace over several Belgian airports was temporarily closed on November 4, 2025, after multiple drone sightings disrupted flights and stranded passengers.

According to Euronews, the disruption followed reports around 8 p.m. local time of a drone flying near Brussels Zaventem Airport, said a spokesperson for Skeyes, the state agency in charge of Belgium’s civil airspace.
