First Alert Forecast: Wind Advisory extended for parts of Maui County and Hawaii Island
A near advisory level NW swell is expected to peak today. A similar sized W/NW swell is due Thursday night. Surf along east facing shores will remain rough and choppy near High Surf Advisory criteria of 10 feet due to strong trade winds.

National Weather Service forecasters in Honolulu have extended the wind advisory in effect for North and South Kohala, parts of northern Hāmākua, Ka‘ū and some southeastern portions of the Big Island until 6 p.
UPDATE: The current wind advisory will be expiring at 5 p.m., says the NWS
The advisory was for Mendocino Coast, Northwestern Mendocino Interior, Southwestern Mendocino Interior, Southeastern Mendocino Interior and Southern Lake County.
Update: Wind advisory for Northern California until Wednesday evening
Northern California was placed under an updated wind advisory by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 1:07 p.m. The advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.
