President Donald Trump is thankful to see Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) retire from government, and sent her a parting shot Friday morning by calling her an “old and broken political hack.” Pelosi was House speaker for a portion of Trump’s second term and wanted to impeach the president twice.
The California Democrat led her party in the House for two decades. Her decision will open up her San Francisco-based seat for the first time in nearly 40 years.
Breed has called allies, including Willie Brown, the former mayor and longtime city powerbroker, to vet the idea.
