CINCINNATI ( Cincinnati Business Courier) - Ohio's minimum wage has increased by 2.3%, going from $10.45 per hour to $10.70 per hour Jan. 1, but businesses may face larger wage hikes if voters approve an amendment potentially coming to the ballot in 2025. The minimum wage for tipped employees has increased from $5.25 per hour to $5.35 per hour.

Ohio minimum wage to increase in 2025 by smallest amount in years
Ohio's minimum wage will increase to $10.70 an hour for 2025 following an adjustment for inflation on the first of the year. The adjustment, per the Ohio Department of Commerce, is a 25-cent increase from the state's 2024 minimum wage of $10.
