Owen Hart’s widow, Martha Hart, discredits the claim by former WWE owner Vince McMahon that her husband’s death, after a failed stunt, was the result of an “accident.”

Owen Hart fell to his death at WWE Over The Edge 1999, as his entrance, in which he rappelled down from the ceiling, went wrong. His death was highlighted in “Mr. McMahon”, the Netflix docuseries about the former WWE Chairman.

During the WWE’s Over The Edge pay-per-view on May 23, 1999, Hart, performing under the name Blue Blazer at the time, fell 78 feet from the rafters after his harness malfunctioned. His cause of death was later confirmed as internal bleeding from blunt force trauma.
