Madison Heights police say a person who was shot multiple times by an officer Friday night had pointed a gun in the direction of officers and was ordered to drop it. At about 8:15 p.m. Friday, Madison Heights officers responded to a report of shots being fired in the 27000 block of Brettonwoods, according to a release Saturday.

Dallas police said they are investigating a fatal shooting in the Love Field area Saturday. Offices responded to a shooting call at around 2:35 p.m. at Maple Avenue and Wycliff Avenue, Officer Luis Mata, a police spokesperson, said in a statement. They then found an unidentified male victim, who died at the scene.

According to the department, at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to a shooting in the 2100 block of Pecan Creek Drive.
