LEANDER, Texas (AP) — A Texas school bus carrying more than 40 students on Wednesday rolled over after veering off a rural road on the first day of class, injuring multiple students, authorities said.

A school bus carrying 42 children and one adult on the first day of the new school year rolled over onto its side near Austin, Texas, on Wednesday, leaving 12 injured.

A school bus carrying dozens of children and one adult flipped on its side Wednesday, just as students were returning home from the first day of school. The accident took place in Austin, Texas and 12 people were injured in total.
