Roman Anthony is just 21 years old, but he continues to etch his name in Red Sox history. On Tuesday, he did something only Ted Williams had done before in a Boston uniform.

According to J.P. Long, the former Red Sox director of communications and media relations, Anthony matched an 86-year-old franchise record once held by Ted Williams. Long noted that Anthony's 82 times on base through his first 50 games were equal to the amount of times Williams reached base in the same sample size to begin his career.

The Boston Red Sox suffered a tough loss on Monday night, dropping a 7-6 decision to the Houston Astros at Daikin Park. With the loss, Boston is 65-55, and they currently hold the No. 2 wild card spot in the American League.
