Thymen Arensman won the shortened final mountain route of the 2025 Tour de France, and Tadej Pogacar still controls the yellow jersey after Stage 19.

The penultimate stage winds through the Jura and Doubs regions and has four categorized climbs, including the Côte de Thésy (3.6 km at 8.9 percent). The final rolling 60 kilometers offer a strong opportunity for a breakaway group to hold off the peloton. This is unlikely to alter the GC standings unless something dramatic happens.

Most riders would be happy to just finish the grueling cycling crucible that is the Tour de France. Only a few riders have won the Tour, and many don't even make it to the end of the more-than-2,000-mile multi-stage race.
