Kämpf has spent the past four seasons in Toronto, putting up 31 goals and 85 points in 301 games for the Maple Leafs.

The Reds added to their catching depth on Wednesday when they claimed Ben Rortvedt off waivers from the Dodgers. Rortvedt, who is out of Minor League options, is viewed as a defense-first catcher who excels at pitch framing and game calling.
