2 pedestrians injured, 1 critically, in Waterbury hit-and-run
WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A woman remains in critical condition after being hit alongside another pedestrian Thursday evening in Waterbury. Police are searching for the driver, who ran away from the scene. The women were hit on Walnut Avenue at about 8 p.m., according to police. A 22-year-old woman is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. A 21-year-old woman is in the hospital in what police describe as “stable” condition. The vehicle that hit them also hit two nearby vehicles, according to police. The driver then stopped, got out of the vehicle and ran off.
