Alex Lyon came through with 37 saves as the Detroit Red Wings banked a much-needed pair of points on the road, beating the Nashville Predators, 5-2.

Andrew Copp snapped a 2-2 tie at 3:29 of the third period with the first of his two goals. It stood as the winning goal as the Red Wings improved to 2-3-0 while Nashville dropped to 0-5-0 and remains the only team without a point.

Dylan Larkin gave the Wings a 2-1 lead early in the second period. Larkin scored his third goal, banging a rebound of Alex DeBrincat's shot past Saros at the 3:17 mark. Vladimir Tarasenko and Nashville's Luke Schenn traded first-period goals.
