PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — A strong cold front is expected to clear South Florida Monday afternoon, leading to a chilly change. A noticeable cooldown is expected behind the front with overnight wind chills dropping to the 40s across Miami and Broward metro coastal areas Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
Metro Atlanta should see temperatures in the low 20s Monday and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials said iguanas can become either immobilized or sluggish when temperatures hit between 40 and 50 degrees. Longer cold snaps with overcast skies that prevent basking for warmth can be deadly as the paralyzed iguanas become easy prey to vultures, bobcats and coyotes.

A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for Glades, Hendry, and northern Palm Beach and Collier counties on Tuesday from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.
Temperatures cool down starting Sunday along with gusty winds from the north. Below normal temperatures are expected through early next week.

Dallas weather: Warm up on the way before another cold front and storm chances
North Texas is experiencing a brief return to cold, winter-like weather today, with high temperatures only reaching the mid-50s.
Roads could become hazardous overnight in northwestern areas as temperatures fall into the 20s around midnight, potentially creating icy conditions on already wet surfaces. Wind gusts into the 20s will push wind chills into the teens in the northwest and 20s elsewhere.
