After a historically dominant display on stage 12 to Hautacam, Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates-XRG) only extended his general classification lead on the Tour de France's second day in the Pyrenees, a 10.

Tadej Pogačar has powered to an impressive stage win on the first day in the Pyrenees to take back the Tour de France yellow jersey.

The multi-ramped 13.5km ski station climb has hosted some barnstormer yellow jersey battles, most recently when Vingegaard and Wout van Aert turned the screw on Pogačar to romp to a victory that sealed the Dane’s first Tour de France win.

Remco Evenepoel (Soudal-QuickStep) has abandoned the Tour de France, climbing off on the Col du Tourmalet during stage 14.

INEOS Grenadiers’ Thymen Arensman won stage 14 of the Tour de France on Saturday, riding solo for the final 37km of a brutal day in the Pyrenees. Behind him race leader Tadej Pogacar added six seconds to his lead over Jonas Vingegaard.
