Robert Jenrick and Kemi Badenoch are through to the final round of the Conservative leadership race after knocking out James Cleverly. Former business secretary Kemi Badenoch topped the poll of Tory MPs, securing 42 votes. Jenrick won the backing of 41 of his colleagues, beating Cleverly, who received 37 votes, into third place.

Kemi Badenoch and Robert Jenrick make it into the final round of the Tory leadership race, following the surprise exit of James Cleverly. Earlier, Sir Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak faced off at PMQs.

Mr Cleverly became favourite to take over as Conservative Party leader on Tuesday after topping the third ballot of Tory MPs. Shadow security minister Tom Tugendhat was knocked out of the race to replace Rishi Sunak after being backed by just 20 Conservative MPs.
