Sunday's game between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves has been rescheduled for Aug. 9, setting up a split doubleheader between the two NL East foes this summer.

The Atlanta Braves game against the Miami Marlins for Sunday afternoon was postponed due to inclement weather coming into the Atlanta metro area.

Severe thunderstorms swept through the Atlanta area Sunday, causing the postponement of the series finale between the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins. The NL East rivals will make up the game as part of a split doubleheader on Aug. 9 in Atlanta.
