TAIPEI (Taiwan News) — Taiwan faced off against the national baseball team from Nicaragua on Sunday on the third day of qualifiers for the 2026 World Baseball Classic at the Taipei Dome.

Taiwan was thoroughly defeated by Nicaragua 0-6 in the group stage of Round A of the 2026 WBC qualifiers held at Taiwan Taipei Dome on the 23rd. With this, Nicaragua secured first place in the group stage, clinching a direct ticket to the WBC finals. Taiwan finished third in the group, failing to advance directly.
