Dallas opened a new chapter after firing GM Nico Harrison, but the result looked familiar. The Mavericks committed 21 turnovers in a 123-114 loss to the Suns despite a strong showing from rookie Cooper Flagg.

Washington has probably been the Mavs most consistent player, so his early exit hurt the team for sure. Washington was 3-for-5 for six points and poised to have a big game, but wasn’t able to make it halfway through the first quarter before exiting with a shoulder injury.

Devin Booker had 26 points and nine assists, Grayson Allen scored four of his 23 points in a key late stretch and the Phoenix Suns held off the Dallas Mavericks 123-114 on Wednesday night for their fourth straight victory.
