Washington — The Supreme Court spent much of its most recent term responding to a fire hose of requests for emergency relief sought by the Trump administration, as President Trump's efforts to implement key aspects of his second-term agenda were stymied by lower courts on several fronts.

The Tuesday decision said that Trump's executive order directing agencies to develop workforce reduction plans is likely lawful.

A federal judge will consider on Thursday whether to prevent President Donald Trump's administration from enforcing his executive order limiting birthright citizenship after the U.S. Supreme Court restricted the ability of judges to block his policies using nationwide injunctions.
