Former Arizona newscaster Kari Lake, picked by President Donald Trump to manage Voice of America and the agency overseeing it, told a congressional committee that they were rotten to the core and should be scrapped.

In a heated hearing, Kari Lake, the Trump ally in charge of the federally funded international broadcasting network, called the media agency “a rotten piece of fish” that should be defunded.

Presidential adviser Kari Lake attacked the Voice of America in Congressional testimony Wednesday. A former network official called her actions "profoundly harmful to our national interests."
