The reigning champion Liberty dominated the upstart Sky on Thursday night in Chicago, breaking a WNBA record for 3-pointers in a game.
Entering Thursday, the WNBA record for most 3s in a game was 18, which had been done six times, most recently by the Liberty themselves last season. Against the Sky, they one-upped themselves and made 19 3s to set the league's new single-game record.
Led by Natasha Cloud with four 3-pointers and 18 points, the defending champion New York Liberty broke the WNBA regular-season record by making 19 3s in a 99-74 victory over the Chicago Sky on Thursday night.
