A baby rhino was born at Assam zoo after a decade-long effort in animal conservation and breeding, to a female rhino named ‘Pori’. This is zoo’s first rhino calf since 2013, bringing the total number of rhinos to eight- four females, three males and the new calf, according to Assam forest department.
