Poppy’s abscess finally started draining during her trailer ride to our vet north of Dallas! Her coffin bone doesn’t have any changes radiographically from when we got her which is good, however there is sand & debris packed in there along with the infection… She will have to have surgery to resect & open the affected area of the hoof. If the bone has any changes once our vet is in there, she will scrape it. They are going to pack Medical Maggots into the surgical site to remove any diseased tis
