When the tides flow against the wind, conditions get rough in the Bay of Fundy. Some parts of the bay see a tidal range of up to 53 feet. While out on the lobstering shoot during my workshop, we had a flood tide pushing water against a northeast wind. It got pretty choppy in a few of the tidal rips near West Quoddy Light off Lubec, Maine. All of the photographers on board lived to tell the tale and experienced what it is like to work on the water in rough conditions. | Jay Fleming
