Today on #sandwichkingdom, I risk life, limb, and shirt stains to take down the Zee Special from Beefee in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood. This glorious monstrosity is basically a meat symphony: Italian beef gyros American cheese sweet AND hot peppers. Is it a sandwich? Is it a workout? Is it a Chicago food coma waiting to happen? Yes, yes, and YES. Grab a napkin (or twelve) and let’s find out if the Zee Special is the ultimate Chicago sandwich showdown. #SandwichKing #beefee #beefeechicago #zees

Here’s my controversial grilled cheese opinion:American cheese is the best. It melts perfectly, stays gooey, and gives you that classic creamy pull. Event though we can’t legally call it “cheese,” it’s still perfect for grilled cheese. #GrilledCheese, #JeffMauro, #SandwichKing, #AmericanCheeseFacts, #CookingScience | Jeff Mauro

Today on Sandwich Kingdom I’m joined by TikTok’s own @madzgoetz. We met when I hosted @chicago_gourmet Chef Gets Pickled event where Maddie took home the gold. I invited her to continue the fun with a good old-fashioned Sandwich Kingdom Review, and she picked her hometown favorite: @hamburgerheavenelmhurst in Elmhurst, IL. We ordered two Big Cheese’s (no onion), chat with the owner about this 77-year-old institution, and dive into a cross-generational burger review. Watch ‘til the end to see the

Last week the @mauroprovisions team and I served dinner at the Ronald McDonald House near Lurie Children’s in Chicago. @ronaldmcdonaldhousechicago provides a comforting home away from home to families while their children are being treated at nearby hospitals - and that includes hot meals. Not only does it feel amazing to contribute to the hot meals need, but it’s an incredible experience to get our staff together to cook, laugh and give back. They rely on contributors to provide meals for famil

#ad Check out my newest phenomenal creation: The Cheesy Crispy Bacon Bun. Charred smoked sausage topped with crispy black forest bacon, pickled red onions, French fried onions & smothered in my homemade Taylor St. Cheese Sauce. Here in Chicago, we take our sausage very seriously, so all these premium ingredients deserve a premium bun. That’s why I used @brownberrybread Potato Hot Dog Buns- it’s a difference maker for any meal. They are made with simple ingredients and free from added artificial

Today on Sandwich Kingdom, I’m reviewing the Summer House Santa Monica Double Decker Cali Burger—a towering two-patty situation loaded with all the fixings. And because no airport layover is complete without a sugar bomb, I grabbed a sweet treat for dessert. Is O’Hare secretly hiding some of the best airport food in Chicago? Or was this just my layover fever dream? Let’s find out before my boarding group gets called. #SandwichKingdom, #ChicagoEats, #AirportFood, #BurgerReview, #FoodieTravel | Je
