On 8 January 2025, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama met with Tibetan devotees over 80 years old and individuals facing physical or mental challenges at Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. On 28 August 2024, His Holiness the Great 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet was warmly welcomed by the Central Tibetan Administration and the Tibetan community upon his arrival at Kangra Airport in Himachal Pradesh, India. Earlier, His Holiness underwent successful knee replacement surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City on 28 June and participated in various events in the United States and Switzerland before travelling to New Delhi, India on 26 August 2024.
