Last week in Lake County we held our annual Dozer Swamper Academy! Swampers scout for and guide dozer operators on the fireline, watching for hazards and helping with communications. Some of the sights and sounds from our Dozer 1447 team comprised of HFEO Bohan and Dozer Swamper Escobedo down on the #GiffordFire in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. There's a bonus clip in there of Tanker 122 delivering fire retardant on the fire. The 31 state fire engines and six dozers our Unit has in operation is the most out of all 21 CAL FIRE Units, giving LNU the ability to cover such a large responsibility area and have the capacity to send aid elsewhere immediately. | CAL FI
