Dumping... Some of the more interesting freight/maintenance-of-way railroad cars we have in our collection are our two side dump cars that allow material to be dumped side ways along our railroad. This is our smaller ex-US Navy 50 ton side dump car being tested in our Brightside yard yesterday after some valve work. The car is put through a complete dump cycle where you can see the large two-stage lift cylinders tip to body sideways as the door opens to allow the material to flow out. There are
